Symbols of Gusendos de los Oteros

The flag and arms of Gusendos de los Oteros are prescribed by a Decree adopted on 21 April 2008 by the Municipal Council, signed on 21 May 2008 by the Mayor, and published on 27 June 2008 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 123, p. 12,907 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:

Flag: Of rectangular shape, with proportions 2:3, made of two horizontal stripes of equal size, the upper green and the lower crimson red, separated by a border or, with a yellow stripe running from upper hoist to lower fly, of height 1/4th of the flag length, charged with the municipal coat of arms at 1/3 of the fly.
Coat of arms: Per pale, 1. Gules a torch or, 2. Vert a tower or masoned sable. Grafted per base argent, a lion purpure armed langued and crowned or. The shield surmounted by the Royal Spanish crown.

Erroneous, the description of the flag was corrected in an erratum signed on 19 December 2008 by the Mayor and published on 12 January 2009 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 6, p. 867 (text).
The corrected description of the flag is:

Flag: Of rectangular shape with proportions 2:3, made of two triangles separated by a stripe or running from upper hoist to lower fly. The triangle at hoist crimson, the one at fly white, charged with the municipal coat of arms.

The symbols were unveiled on 26 December 2008 during the inauguration of the new Town Hall.
