The flag and arms of Villambistia are prescribed by a Decree adopted
on 15 November 2007 by the Municipal Council, signed the same day by

the Province of Burgos, No. 234 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:
Flag: Rectangular flag with proportions 2:3, made of two equal horizontal stripes, blue at the top and white at the bottom. The blue stripe is charged with two yellow scallops, of height 50% of the flag's hoist, the first scallop placed at 1/3 of the flag's length and the second at 2/3 of the flag's length.
Coat of arms: Azure (blue) a fountain argent in chief two scallops or. The shield surmounted with a Royal crown closed.
The coat of arms represents the location of the village on the Way of St. James. The Villambistia fountain is known to relax immediately the exhausted pilgrims who drop the head inside it (El Norte de Castilla, 4 March 2012). The two scallops represent the two pilgrim's hospitals once found in the village.
