Symbols of Altable

The flag and arms of Altable are prescribed by a Decree adopted on 20 October 2002 by the Municipal Council and published on 22 November 2002 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 227, p. 15,560 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:

Flag: Castilian, quadrangular, horizontally divided flechado, with the first field plain white and the second field green (vert). In the middle, from the hoist to the fly, two equal, parallel lines flechado, at 1/12 to the top and to the bottom, of brown wooden colour. In the middle of the second field, the full coat of arms of Altable.
Coat of arms: Per pale flechado, 1a. Azure a hand holding a spike, a rose and a poppy all argent, 1b. gules a cross of wood sable pointing towards the cantons, 2. Vert a fountain roofed and masoned sable with water waves inside and flowing to the base. The shield surmounted with a Royal crown closed.

flechado means that the lower field of the coat of arms "enters" the upper field in a arrow (flecha) pattern, parallel to the fountain's roof.
