This variant of the former Egyptian National flag was flown during the Camp
David Accords, while the American and Israeli flag flown at the time seemed
normal, the Egyptian flag was strange as its emblem was simplified to the point
it was merely gold and black, chances are this was a flag that had to be quickly
manufactured for the accord because no Egyptian flag was in supplies or it was
merely an accidental error.
