The symbols of San Pedro de Vilcabamba are prescribed by a Municipal
Ordinance adopted on 1 December 2011.
The flag is horizontally divided electric blue-white-green, with three red stars
placed horizontally in the white stripe. The blue stripe is a tribute to the
people's understanding and a representation of the atmospheric environment of
the parish. The white stripe refers to peace, purity and solidarity, as
principles of social interaction. The green stripe represents the exuberant
production of the fields, the splendour of the landscape, the resources of the
natural environment, and the aspiration to be a powerful village. The three
stars stand for work, union and progress, respectively.
