Well, I guess nobody has sent a gif of the DHM flag, so I made one.
Marcus E.V. Schmöger, 28 Sep 2007
In the mean time, Jan Oscar Engine reminded me where I saw it - it was in Nordisk Flaggkontakt, nr. 44, pp. 29-33, the article by Gunnar Staack: "Vexillological curiosities for the guests of FlagBerlin 2007". He describes it as "...yellow and charged with its [DHM's] emblem, the simplified and stylized draft of its entrance area at the baroque façade. For the most part black, it shows a red cornice and red roof sculptures. It looks like a temple with the initials DHM (Deutsches Historisches Musuem) underneath. In fact, the letters stand in the place of the portal and the windows of the entrance hall at its sides. The half circle aboce "H" is not a door but a vaulted background for a relief of King Frederic I of Prossia. The letters "D" and "M" are black; the letter "H" is red."
Gunnar notes also what we noticed in Berlin - the emblem is used in
different colours for various other purposes in the Museum - although it
seems that the colouring of the flag is consistent.
