Shield Sable, three sharpened pales issuant Argent, connected by a wattlework of the same.
Meaning:
Pfofleld is located at the Roman Limes fortification, called simply "The pale" by the local people. The pales are a representation of the fortification and canting, as the name of the municipality is derived from "to the field near the pales". The tinctures are those of the Margarves of Ansbach and the Burgraves of Nürnberg, their predecessors, both from the Zollern kin, who ruled the village since 1368. The yellow top is a mere 3D-effect.
