Shield Argent with triplemount Azure fimbriated Or issuant from base and charged with a double hook Gules, issuant from mount a donkey rampant Sable crowned Or.
Meaning:
When the current arms were used by the municipality in 1835, they already were considered to be age old. The name of the village and castle then had been Angelberg. It is impossible to say, when those arms had been granted. The crowned donkey had been the crest of the helmets of the Lords of Riedheim, who ruled the village from the 15th until the 17th century. The arms probably were granted during the same time. The double hook or wolf trap (German: Wolfsangel) on a mountain (together in Latin: angulus montis) makes trap and mount a punning element. The first town seal was made in 1837. The trap sometimes was depicted as golden.

The arms are in use since the 17th century. Also the banner is in use without approval.
