Meaning:
The village developed by the depletion of peat in the surrounding marshes. One of them is the name giving Kolbermoos. The village gained market town rights in 1936 and city rights in 1963. The first architectural sculpture of the arms was placed upon the façade of the municipal hall in 1913 without approval. The bars wavy are representing the Mangfall River, the bulrushes the location in the marshes. The ensemble is thus canting.
