Putlitz Coat of Arms

Shield Gules, a goose statant rising Argent armed Or on top of a mount Vert issuant from base.
Meaning:
The rising goose is taken from the family arms of the "Gans Edlen Herren zu Putlitz", which is hardly to translate, literally the "completely noble lords of Putlitz", but note that in German "Gans" (= goose) has the same pronounciation as "Ganz" (= complete). The Gans kin together with the Bishops of Havelberg played in important role by implementing Christianity and German colonisation in the area in the 12th century.

Dirk Schönberger, 25 Apr 2019

The arms were approved on 10 January 1992.
