In a golden (= yellow) shield is a black eagle armed and tongued red.
Meaning:
Zell upon Harmersbach was established by the Benedictian Abbey of Gengenbach in the 13th century and became an imperial city in the 14th century. All seals since 1334 with prints since 1351 displayed the imperial eagle without any distinguishing marks. In the early 19th century ephemeral arms displayed the eagle with a inescutcheon of Baden, the crest and supporters of Baden. Since 1903 the old arms are restored.
