Shield Argent a wolf rampant Gules.
Meaning:
Oberwolfach was first mentioned in 1275. It had been a possession of the Fürstenberg kin from the 13th century until 1806, when it was ceded to Baden. The wolf rampant appeared already on the first known seal from 1480, is however salient on the seals from 1647 and 1811. The current posture and tinctures were fixed in 1956.
