Coat of Arms

Description of coat of arms:
The shield is divided per bend. Above is a red 8-point star in a silver(=white) field. Below is a green field divided by a golden(=yellow) bendy wavy line.
Meaning:
According to source the star is taken from the arms of the counts of Sternberg, the wavy line is symbolizing Exter creek, which gave the municipality its name.
