Meaning:
The village belonged to St.Blasien Monastery until 1806 and became a municipality in 1809. The arms are based on a stamp, made before 1806. The willow (German: Weide of local: Wiede) is a canting element. The stag is taken from the arms of St. Blasien Monastery.
