Description of coat of arms:
In a red shield is a silver (= white) anchor entangled by a rope of the same colour.
Meaning:
In 1972 the municipalities of Großingersheim and Kleiningersheim, which had formed a community already since 1829, merged. The shape of the anchor is taken from the arms of Großingersheim (Great I.), while the tinctures are taken from the arms of Kleiningersheim (Little I.). The anchor is symbolizing shipping on the Neckar River.
