Wonsees Coat of Arms

Shield quartered, 1st and 4th quarter quartered of Sable and Argent, 2nd and 3rd quarter Argent an intial "W" Azure.
Meaning:
In 1323 German King Ludwig the Bavarian granted the rights of a market town and of a fortification. The first local seals are known since the 16th century. They displayed the current pattern, which was also displayed in a painting from 1581 and a Roll of Arms from 1767. The quartered shield displays the arms of the Zollern kin. The initial, the first letter of the town's name, is a distinguishing mark.
