Shield quartered, 1st and 4th quarter Argent a heraldic rose Gules seeded Or and barbed Vert, 2nd and 3rd quarter Sable an initial "W" Argent.
Meaning:
The arms are based on the first town seal, made in 1562 and proven by prints since 1577. A district seal from 1635 and the baptismal font of the local parish church from 1647 displayed the same pattern. The quartered shield displays the family arms of the Zollern kin. The meaning of the rose is unknown. A painting of the arms from 1581 displayed a different pattern as follows: 2nd and 3rd quarter the quartered shield of the Zollern kin, 1st quarter Argent a green tree on a green base, 4th quarter an ascending mount proper in a blue field. Paintings from 1812 and 1889 displayed an eagle, the initials "WB" and twice a rose. The current pattern was introduced by Otto Hupp (1912). The initial, the first letter of the town's name, is a distinguishing mark.
