Shield Vert a bend Or, on sinister chief a wine glass Argent, base embattled Argent.
Meaning:
The green tincture is referring to the location in the woods of the Bavarian Forest. The glass is symbolisng the local glass industry in the past. Glass kilns existed there since the 15th century. The Kaiserhütte factory produced especially mirrors, also for the opera in München. The bend is symbolising the road for salt transports, the golden path. The embattled base is alluding to Schönanger Castle. Schönanger had been also the name of the municipality until 1981.
