Shield Argent divided by a saltire Gules, chief Gules charged with aplough share Or, flanked by wheel spiders Argent, i.e. crosses in a wheel similar to a wheel with four spokes (German: Radkreuz).
Meaning:
The chief and the saltire together are denominated in German as Hauptschragen, which is taken from the arms of the knights of the Hademstorf family, the former rulers for more than 400 years. The plough share is symbolizing agriculture. Finally the wheel spiders can be found within the carvings on the facades of local farmhouses. They are symbolising the united ecclesiastical and mundane powers. Also before they had been salutary signs for the fulfillment of wishes and the defence against evil powers among the Germanic tribes.
