Graitschen Coat of Arms

Shield Or a grapevine Vert with two leaves of the same, in orle surrounded by 12 lozenges Gules.
Meaning:
The grapevine is known from village seals since the 19th century, alluding to viticulture in the valley of the Gleiße River. The grapevine is an identifying symbol for more than 100 years. The lozenges are taken from the arms of the Lordship of Gleisberg. Due to heraldic rules the tinctures are counterchanged in relation to the arms of the lordship.
