Meaning:
The triplemount is a differentiation of the arms of the Benedictine Niederalteich Monastery. Its arms displayed a green triplemount on a golden shield. The monastery had been the local manorial lord. The wolf is a differentiation of the arms of Passau City. He is alluding to the fact that Nadling, the name of the municipality until 1937, had belonged to the Seebach parish, the westernmost parish of the Bishopric of Passau, until the end of the 19th century. Furthermore the bishopric also owned estates in the village.
