Shield Azure on central peak of a triplemount issuant Argent a linden Or with 13 leaves.
Meaning:
The unwalled city was mentioned in 1228 and ruled by a reeve of the King of Böhmen in 1239. It became a possession of the local Gersdorf kin. The inhabitants freed themselves from peonage by paying a fee to Erasmus of Gersdorf in 1625. The city gained the local cognisance the same year. Since 1683 the production of ginger bread became an important business line. Around 1800 the production of shoes and stockings became predominant. The white (triple-)mount is a canting element. The oldest city seal from 1622 displayed besides the year date a linden with many leaves. The date probably is referring to the year of struggle between the citizens and the local ruler.
