Shield Azure a mechanical weaving shuttle Argent.
Meaning:
A picture of a mechanical version of the shuttle can be found here. The tool is used for weaving of ribbons. The village was first mentioned in 1349 by name but existed probably since around 1200. It belonged to the Lordship of Pulsnitz and since around 1400 to the Margraviate of Meißen. Ribbon weaving had been the most important business line in the past. Local seals since 1900 displayed a shuttle, a beehive and grain ears. The current arms were found by an open contest and introduced on occasion of the approval of city rights in 1826.

The banner is used without approval but based on a plain bicolour, in use since 1926. The arms were confirmed on 18 March 1926 by Saxonian Minister of Interior.
