Shield Argent parted enhanced by a bend sinister wavy Azure, superimposed by a sword Azure in bend, issuant from base a triplemount Gules, charged with 6-spokes wheel Argent.
Meaning:
The sword is an attribute of St. John the Baptist, the local patron saint. Together with the mount (German: Berg) the sword is canting. The mount is painted as a triplemount, in order to represent also Breunsberg and Steinberg, incorporated in 1972. The bend wavy is representing the former municipalities of Oberafferbach, Steinbach and Rückersbach. The wheel is symbolising the Archbishopric of Mainz, to which the area historically belonged.
