Pičín Coat of Arms
image sent by Linda Zornow, 17 Jun 2010
My parents just returned from Picin in the Czech Republic and brought
me back a decal of the town's emblem. I have scanned it below for
you. In this image the green "hair" appears to be a crown of leaves (seaweed?)
as well as the loincloth. In this image the "old man of the sea"
detail can be seen. Unfortunately the seafaring symbolism remains
a mystery since the town's commerce is agriculture and mining.
