Pachavita is a municipality in the Colombian Department of
Boyacá, part of the the subregion of the Neira Province. It was
founded on 17 November 1796.
The flag of Pachavita is 2:3 in ratio, vertically divided
green-white-green and is charged with a tree ("chizo").
According to the description, the tree should have nine branches
for the nine "veredas" of this municipality, but it
isn't seen as such in the image.
The flag was adopted by the municipal council's decree No. 012 of
24 November 1982 (full text of the decree is in the municipal web
site) and it was designed by José Luis Huertas.
