The city's present flag uses a different logo. The date is
unknown, but it might be related to the town's centennial in 2016.

The logo features the Cap-de-la-Madeleine lighthouse.
Erected from 1906 to 1908 by the Steel Concrete Company of Montreal for the
Ministry of Marine and Fisheries, the lighthouse was one of the first Canadian
lighthouses built in reinforced concrete. Of 17 m in height, the lighthouse is
topped by an iron circular lantern protected by a circular cupola.
The
lighthouse was recognized on 26 May 1988 as a federal heritage building.
