Description of the flag

The flag of the Town of Atikokan, Ontario, is vertically divided green-white-green with town crest in the center of the white stripe. Photos of the flag thanks to Angela Sharbot, Clerk/Economic Initiatives Administrator.

About the town:
"Atikokan (Ojibwe for "caribou bones") is a township in the District of Rainy River in Northwestern Ontario, Canada. In 2006, the population was 3,293. The town is known locally as the "Canoeing Capital of Canada" and is one of the main points of entry into canoeing destination Quetico Provincial Park.
