The
flag of Pinhal Grande is prescribed by Municipal Law No. 73 promulgated on 1
March 1994.
Article 1.
I. The flag is composed of three panels, blue,
white and green, in medium blue and sea green shades, blue and green forming
right-angled triangles and white a quadrilateral ascending between the
triangles, the blue triangle's right-angle being placed in the flag's upper left
and the right triangle's right-angle being placed in the flag's lower right.
II. The flag shall be of 20 units in length on 14 units in width.
III. The
coat of arms of the municipality shall be placed in the flag's center, in
proportions 6 units on 7 units in width.
Article 3.
The features of
the municipal flag shall obey the following rules.
I. The flag's width shall
be 14 units.
II. The flag's length shall be 20 units.
III. The coat of
arms placed in the flag's center shall have a radius of 3.5 units.
IV. The
blue right-angled triangle's lesser side in upper left shall be exactly of 7
units. The same is true for the green triangle's lesser side, in lower right.
V. The lesser sides of the white quadrilateral ascending between the two
right-angled triangles shall also be of 7 units.
The two sides shall be
exactly equal, mirroring each other.
