About the Flag

The municipal flag was created by Lilian E. Eduardo Pinilha in a contest initiated by decree-law 860 of 4 March 1983. The star represents the newest state of the Federation. The color white, peace and the simplicity of our people. The color blue, the rivers that run through the region. The color yellow, the mineral riches of the municipality. The color red, homage to the neighboring country of Bolivia. The lines drawn diagonally has symbolic significance: the Madeira-Mamoré railway, Brazilian highway BR-425, and the course of the Mamoré River, which carry us to other peoples and to the progress that comes to us through them.
