Introduction

The city of Buenos Aires is formally divided in 48 barrios (neighborhoods), grouped into 15 comunas (communes), which are defined as "units of decentralized political and administrative management governed by designated residents".

List of Communes

The comuna are serially numbered. They are listed below in numerical order together with their constituent neighbourhoods.

These entities have no special names, but are numbered, from Comuna 1 to Comuna 15. Although in 2016 it was proposed that every commune would get its own emblem and flag, it seems that the project is not finished. For now, communes have only generic logos.
