Description of the flag

The town flag is mentioned on the township's website under the title "Suffield Flag". It is white with the seal-like logo centered.

The above was copied from a flag that was produced in about 1977. The image was used on Suffield Township forms and several of the flags were made. In 1989 and 1990, a community newsletter was published by the township and simply entitled Suffield Township Newsletter. This image adorned the header of that newsletter. The Latin phrase was borrowed from the State of Connecticut, where that phrase is the state motto. Since the founder of our community, Royal Pease, was from Connecticut, this seems all so appropriate, as does the notation of Peasetown 1802. The Latin phrase "Qui transtulit sustinet" is translated as "He who is transplanted still sustains". Thanks to Father Thomas Acker at St. Joseph's Church for the translation. Thanks to the Suffield Historical Society for loaning us the flag to make the photographic image.

Seal

The seal shows a white ring with a red and black ring. Inscribed is the township name and establishment year, separated by two stars. In the center of the seal is a blimp, an old tractor, and the mascot of Suffield Elementary School, known as "the Falcons".
