"It was confirmed at September, 27th, 2002. A green rectangular panel with a sides ratio as 2:3 consists five horizontal strips - green, white, dark blue, white and green (ratio of their width is 5:1:3:1:5), in the centre is a yellow deer in a jump. In the top corner on distance of 1/8 flag width (or 1/12 its lengths) from a staff is the yellow flower (by diameter in 1/4 width of a flag).

From the site of Ukrainian Heraldry:
"It was confirmed at September, 27th, 2002. In the vert field is azure beam with argent fringings, in the centre is a or deer in a jump, above it is or flower in the right corner. The board is crowned by or territorial crown with battlements from lime and leaves and supported from both parties by two or lions with gules tongues. Below it goes an azure tape with or inscription "Sambirs'kyi region". The author is A.Grechylo. The deer representatives local fauna, it also appears on the arms of city of Sambir. The flower specifies, that the southern part of area enters into region Bojkovshchyna. In the big arms or lions certify a belonging of area to L'viv oblast'. The strip symbolizes Dnister river which proceeds on territory of area and divides it into two parts. Vert color means rich natural resources.
