Coat of arms

Shield Argent, a cape Gules semy of bezants between two grapevines Purpure leaved Vert, base wavy Azure, crowned by a barrulet wavy Argent crowned by a mountain issuant Vert. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials: "CAPARICA".
Meaning:
The bezanted cape probably is an attribute of Our Lady of Monte da Caparica, which means "mountain of the rich cape".

Caparica Commune was one of the pre-2013 communes of Almada Municipality; it 20 454 had inhabitants in 2011 and covered 11.0 km².

Shield Gules, base Or, crowned by five alternating barrulets wavy of Azure and Argent, crowned by a fortress Argent with two Spanish turrets, masoned Sable, flanked at dexter by an anchor Or topped by two oars of the same crossed per saltire, and at sinister by a pine tree Or. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials: "VILA DE TRAFARIA".
