Che³m county flag

Che³m County (Polish: powiat che³mski) is a unit of territorial administration and local government (powiat) in Lublin Voivodeship, eastern Poland, on the border with Ukraine. It was created on 1 January 1999 as a result of the Local Government Reorganization Act of 1998. Its administrative seat is the city of Che³m, although the city is not part of the county (it constitutes a separate city county).

The county is subdivided into 15 communes (Polish: gmina), one urban commune and 14 rural communes. (Gmina Rejowiec belonged to Krasnystaw County until
2006.):

On 10 July 2008 the new symbols of the Che³m County were presented to the public. The official adoption of a law is the future.
