Overview

Flag and coat of arms of Silute (Klaipeda county - Klaipedos apskritis, Silute district - Silutes rajonas). The flag is according to the photo from official site of Silute district municipality (<silute.kryptis.lt> - this flag is named the flag of Silute district. I think it is wrong because the city and the district could not have same flag or coat of arms). The coat of arms is drawn according to image from the book: The Heraldry of Lithuania.

On a white field the arms of Silute: sails with a weathervane and post horn. Flag proportions 2:3, free edges bordered with green and silver rectangles, fringe is silver, finial is a golden spike of a tower and green and silver bands, staff is green. The arms symbolizes fishing as the major local business and the post road Klaipeda-Tilsit as the origin of town.
