Flag

Located in Ise City Mie Prefecture and established in 1962. The university flag has white background with a gold emblem and kanji university name written in gold horizontally. The flag was donated by a member of the alumni association on the occasion of the first graduation ceremony in March 1966. The emblem of the university was designed by Mr. Miki Murase, a graduate of Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music (now the University of the Arts), on the occasion of the university's reestablishment in April 1962. The emblem was designed combining the "hanabishi" (water chestnut like four leaves) pattern of the Shinto shrine and the Chinese character "大學" (university). Hanabishi" is a continental-derived continuous pattern that was used as a court nobility's furnishings and costume traditional design in the Heian period.
