The Town of Novska (14,3131 inhabitants in 2001,7,270 in the town of Novska) is located 10 km north of the confluence of river Una into Sava, somewhere on the historical border between Croatia proper and Slavonia.

The symbols of Noska must have been adopted about 1999.
They were designed by the Heraldic Art d.o.o. company, from Rijeka.

The flag is blue with the coat of arms, bordered yellow, in the middle.

The former symbols of Noska were prescribed by Decision Odluka o grbu i zastavi Općine Novska, adopted on 16 December 1992 by the Municipality Assembly and published on 21 December 1992 in the official gazette Službeni vjesnik, No. 45.

The flag is prescribed in the Article 9 of the Decision as horizontally divided light ochre-cobalt blue, with the coat of arms set in the canton, so that 2/3 of its height is in the yellow stripe and 1/3 in the blue stripe, at equal distance from the top and the hoist.
The coat of arms is "Per fess, 1a. Checky gules and argent, 1b. Azure three oak leaves and two acorns proper 2. Tierced or, azure and brunâatre fimbriated argent overall a stork proper".
