Flag of Region Normandie

The flag of the Region (photo) is white with the Region's logo in the middle.
The logo, unveiled on 10 March 2016, emphasizes the historical, dynamic and maritime dimensions of the Region, through the reference to the Normand coat of arms with the two leopards on a red background, and through its shape, reminiscent of the wind-blown sail of a Viking longship, a symbol of conquest.

Hoisting of the traditional flag of Normandy after the "reunification"

The flag of Normandy was symbolically hoisted over the headquarters of the Regions Basse-Normandie (Caen; photo, photo) and Haute-Normandie (Rouen; photo) after the adoption on 27 November 2014 of the Law that changed the limits of the Regions, here merging the two regions to form a "reunified" Region Normandie.
Several Mayors also hoisted the flag as a sign of support to the long-aspired "reunification", for instance in Bagnoles-de-l'Orne (photo), Blainville-sur-Orne (photo) and Sainte-Adresse (photo, photo).

To celebrate the "reunification", the two Regional Councils have offered more than 50,000 flags to the spectators of 18 football (photo), basketball, handball, ice hockey and table tennis matches played between 8 January 2015 and 12 February 2016.
[Ouest France, 29 December 2015]

Before the adoption of the current logo in March 2016, a provisional logo had been in use since octobre 2015 (image): it was made of red square with the two traditional leopards, and below a white label separated by a thin black line, with the words "RÉGION NORMANDIE", the acute accent on the letter "É" being joined to the black line as in a speech balloon.
The flag offered to the spectators in sport events was made after this logo: like a traditional flag of Normandy, but with at the bottom a white horizontal stripe fimbriated black bearing the words "RÉGION NORMANDIE", with the acute accent on the letter "É" being joined to the black line as in a speech balloon.<+P>

The traditional flag of Normandy was widely used in the Region, and white flags with the former logos have been spotted; anayway, it is impossible to say if it has existed wither each version of the logo, or if only some versions have really been in use. I have personnally seen one on a roundabout in Caen around 2005, and another one one with the next logo could be seen for example in 2012 during Wthe orldskills Championship.
All the logos are in green and blue, with a drakkar in the shape of the map of the region. A first design (image) was in use until 2002. A different logo with the same elements was adopted, and its font was modified some years later (date unknown to me), and again in 2013 (image).

Haute-Normandie

Departments: Eure, Seine-Maritime
Bordering Regions: Basse-Normandie, Centre, Île-de-France, Picardie
Traditional province: Normandie

Area: 12,318 km2
Population (1995): 1,776,900 inhabitants
Regional prefecture: Rouen

The flag of Region Haute-Normandie (photos, August 2008) was white with the logo of the Region. The flag was also used with a slightly different logo (photos, August 2007).
The logo of the Regional Council of Haute-Normandie, created in 1993, shows a yellow leopard on a red background, recalling the traditional arms of Normandy, white and blue waves symbolizing the Region's ports and beaches, as well as the curves of the Seine, and a green stripe representing agriculture, fertility and the diversity of the regional landscape.
