The municipality of Cabañas de Sayago (187 inhabitants in 2009; 4,977 ha) is located in the Zamora Province, 25 km from Zamora.

Symbols of Cabañas de Sayago

The flag and arms (image) of Cabañas de Sayago are prescribed by a Decree adopted on 9 January 2001 by the Municipal Council, signed on 6 February 2001 by the Mayor, and published on 21 February 2001 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 37, p. 2,996 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:

Flag: Rectangular flag, with proportions 2:3, made of five horizontal stripes with proportions 4:15, 1:15, 1:3, 1:15 and 4:15, the outer stripes blue, the intermediate stripes yellow and the central stripe red with two white huts [cabañas].
Coat of arms: Per pale, 1. Gules two huts argent per pale, 2. Or a bunch of grapes vert, grafted in base waves azure and argent. The shield surmounted with a Royal crown closed.
