Lutter Coat of Arms

The shield is divided into blue and green by a silver bendlet sinister wavy. Above right is a silver knight in full armour with shield and lance, topped by a flag. Beneath left is a silver millwheel.
Meaning:
The warrior is St. Maurice, the local patron saint, who appeared also in the local seals until 1953. The wheel is referring to the four watermills, being in this village in the past. The bendlet is symbolizing Lutter creek, also being name giver of the village.
